I was writing about Evel Knievel Motorcycle Toys and I thought I better take a moment and really learn about Mr. Evel Knievel so I would understand the appeal of these toys.
Upon doing my research (gotta love Wikipedia!) I learned he had been a successful insurance agent. Fed up with that (who wouldn’t be? - no offense to insurance agents out there, just doesn’t seem like an exciting job!) he decided to put on a show of him on his motorcycle doing crazy things.
He had broken 433 bones, had numerous concussions, etc. etc. Ironically, it wasn’t his stunts that killed him - he had a liver transplant and ultimately died from diabetes.
Anyways, you’ve got to watch this video and tell me if you would try to do something like this:
I read today that over 2000 people each day are searching online for women kicking men in the groin.
Is this something people find amusing? Exhilirating?
Well, I did some research for Best of Stupid sake and found this video of women kicking men in the groin. Actually, it is more like a bunch of women kicking one man - this guy is trying to go for a world record of being kicked in the nuts the most times and enlisting complete random stranger volunteers at a park.
Stuff like women kicking men in the nuts and that kind of thing really all comes down to a big question:
Is it funny when people get hurt?
A lot of comedic humor has been based on the clumsiness of others or people who hurt each other. Think of the cartoon Tom & Jerry - they blow each other up, stab each other, chop each other up - you name it! Then there’s stuff like the classic guy who slipped on a banana peel or someone who sits down and misses the chair and falls flat on their butt.
This leads to another big question:
Have you ever actually seen somebody slip on a banana peel?
I have never witnessed firsthand someone slipping on a banana peel. No doubt this has something to do with a lack of banana peels on the ground. I did however see this video that’s super short and made me laugh, a banana peel slipping on a man on the ground:

I know I have a lot of non-U.S. readers and even those of us in the U.S. probably don’t remember much we learned in school about the 4th of July.

I’ve seen a lot of stupid movies, but the Samuel L. Jackson movie Snakes on a Plane has to be the worst stupid movie I’ve seen in a long time. It’s worse than a made-for-tv movie. Watch this video and see if you can catch some of the stupid things they say in this movie:
This video doesn’t even do it justice on how stupid it is. We can all learn something from this though: Getting killed WILL kill you.
Would you believe there is a world record for number of mentos-diet coke geysers going off simultaneously?
A mentos-diet coke geyser is what you get when you put mentos in a bottle of diet coke. The mentos cause the coke to shoot up into the air giving you a fountain/geyser effect.
