Today we passed this sign while driving through a “less affluent” neighborhood:
The shop was proudly showing it now had quiche available to buy. Obviously a few too many people came in asking for the quiche and were probably asking for some “qwish-ay” or “qwitch”…so on their sign it clearly says “Pronouced Keesh”.
Reminds me of the days I used to work at Home Depot and people would ask me how to fox paint instead of faux paint. As Steve Martin says, “Boy those French! They have a different word for everything!”

I’d like to taste some Keesh. :p

This is hilarious how people would go get some quitch-ay, or something like that. In a jokebook, a guy and his friend to to a diner, the hot waiter comes by and asks what they want, and the one guy says, “Give me a quickie.” The waiter slaps him, and then the guy’s friend leans and says to the guy, “I think that’s pronounced quiche.”
