I read today that over 2000 people each day are searching online for women kicking men in the groin.
Is this something people find amusing? Exhilirating?
Well, I did some research for Best of Stupid sake and found this video of women kicking men in the groin. Actually, it is more like a bunch of women kicking one man - this guy is trying to go for a world record of being kicked in the nuts the most times and enlisting complete random stranger volunteers at a park.
Stuff like women kicking men in the nuts and that kind of thing really all comes down to a big question:
Is it funny when people get hurt?
A lot of comedic humor has been based on the clumsiness of others or people who hurt each other. Think of the cartoon Tom & Jerry - they blow each other up, stab each other, chop each other up - you name it! Then there’s stuff like the classic guy who slipped on a banana peel or someone who sits down and misses the chair and falls flat on their butt.
This leads to another big question:
Have you ever actually seen somebody slip on a banana peel?
I have never witnessed firsthand someone slipping on a banana peel. No doubt this has something to do with a lack of banana peels on the ground. I did however see this video that’s super short and made me laugh, a banana peel slipping on a man on the ground:
So what do you think? Can you answer my big questions for me?

There’s a word for this type of humor: schadenfreude.
And it’s not funny when people get hurt. But it’s HILARIOUS when people do things that could hurt but survive, and you think of how stupid what they were doing is.
And I’ve unfortunately never seen someone slip on a banana peel, but if I do you’ll be the first to know!

@ demiera: some times it’s funny, and if you noticed AFV you’ll find out that most people in these funny clips gets hurt but not that bad!

As long as it’s not me getting hurt and it’s not a serious injury then yes I definitely find it funny, I guess it is just human nature.
No I’ve never seen anybody slip on a banana peel, I guess I just don’t hang out in enough places that have banana peels lying around on the floor

I think its hilarious. . . . as long as it’s not me! No but seriously, one night I accidently rolled the car window up on my sweet wife’s finger. She was in such pain she could only grunt. I couldn’t find the right window switch on my side of the car fast enough. The look on her face and her grunt was hilarious, and she was sooooooo mad at me for laughing!!

ok…yes, people getting hurt is unfortunately funny. I am a volleyball player and there is nothing more funny during a game when people get smashed in the face with the ball. it is a part of the game, and I am a professional player, and we take the game very seriously. But when someone gets hit big time and their body does a 360 flip…even the most serious and professional players have to start laughing!! So, in short, yeah I do think people getting hurt is very funny…

I’d love to see someone slip on a banana skin - I don;t think Id stop laughing. Men getting kicked in the groin though - not really funny.

It certainly is not funny being kicked in the groin, but is hilarious watching someone else being kicked in the groin. It reminds me of that episode of simpsons with the film contest - football in the groin.

I’m one of those 2000 people, and I don’t run these searches because I like getting kicked in the groin. For that matter, I think that the guys who go in for this activity are pretty warped in the head. In fact, a women that I was once dating found it necessary to knee me in the groin as hard as she could. She put me in the hospital! She nearly castrated me! I just can’t figure out why anyone would wish to bring that kind of pain and mental anguish upon themselves! Nevertheless,whenever my PTSS starts acting up I just rum a few searches and collect a few more news stories. It’s reassuring to find out that I’m not the only guy on this planet who’s been kneed in the groin by a women. I’ve started a blog dealing with just this issue.
